THE SHORT ANSWER
Bring your material, let AI draft questions, then make the deck yours. Memoriser connects card creation with spaced repetition so the next step after editing is practice.
Start with your notesBring a focused source
Start with pasted notes, a supported document such as a PDF, or a topic. Source material gives you something concrete to check against. For a long document, begin with one coherent section.
Check the source first. Missing pages, unreadable scans and unexplained abbreviations make the resulting questions harder to verify. If a draft seems wrong, compare it against the original passage.
Turn a draft into a useful deck
Read every generated question before relying on it. Correct unsupported details, remove duplicates and split prompts with several unrelated answers. AI can make mistakes even when the wording is confident.
A useful card asks for something specific. “What is the key idea?” needs context; “Assets = Liabilities + …” gives you a cue you can answer and grade. Use manual editing whenever exact terminology matters.
Review, then return
Answer before revealing the card, then rate your recall. Memoriser uses FSRS spaced repetition to determine when cards return. Hard questions can also reveal where you need to revisit the source.
Keep source material close to the study workflow and ask for an explanation when you need more context. Check explanations against your material, especially when the distinction being tested is subtle.
Try it with a small amount of material
Create a free account and start with a short passage. AI generation and storage have limits shown in your account. Check those limits before uploading a large collection.
If you already have an Anki deck, use the importer instead of regenerating it from scratch. If you are bringing exported Quizlet text, treat the result as new cards and check coverage carefully.
Common questions
Can I edit AI-generated flashcards?
Yes. Review and edit the draft cards before studying them, and add your own questions where coverage is missing.
Are the generated answers guaranteed to be correct?
No. Check them against a reliable source. AI drafting reduces blank-page work; it does not replace your judgement.
