Spaced repetition flashcards in Memoriser

Use FSRS flashcard scheduling to build a review routine. Learn how ratings, clear questions and manageable new-card intake shape your practice.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Memoriser uses your recall ratings to schedule later reviews with FSRS. Your part is to write clear questions, answer before revealing, and keep the workload manageable.

Start with your notes

What a review session looks like

Open a card and attempt an answer before showing the back. Compare your response with the expected answer, then rate what you remembered. The scheduler uses that feedback when selecting the next review time.

Seeing an answer and recognising it is different from producing it unaided. Give yourself a moment to attempt the question before revealing, even when the topic feels familiar.

Improve questions you repeatedly miss

A repeated miss is a reason to inspect the card. Does the cue identify the topic? Is the answer too long? Are two different ideas being tested at once?

Split an overloaded question, add missing context or return to your source material. Scheduling a confusing question more often is not the same as making it clear.

Keep the queue compatible with real life

Adding new cards also creates future reviews. Start with a manageable topic and observe the resulting workload before importing or generating a large amount of material.

Memoriser includes study days, breaks and exam goals. Use them to plan your routine, while remembering that a target date is a planning aid rather than a promise of mastery.

Bringing an existing review history

The web Anki importer can keep source scheduling and preserve Anki review events separately. Scheduling is converted to Memoriser’s scheduler, so future intervals may differ from your original setup.

After migration, check a representative sample and the review queue. Keep the source collection until you know the cards and schedule are usable for your routine.

Common questions

What scheduler does Memoriser use?

Memoriser uses FSRS. Your ratings and the app’s scheduling settings determine subsequent reviews.

Does a schedule guarantee that I will remember?

No. Card quality, honest ratings and continued practice matter. A scheduled review is an opportunity to practise, not a guarantee of retention.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
